Donate to the Optometric Disaster Relief Fund

The American Optometric Association Foundation for Science, Education, and Charity (AOAF) is collecting funds to help optometrists in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, and Alabama who sustained the loss of or severe damage to their practices and homes as a result of Hurricane Katrina.

Your donation today will help optometrists who have lost their homes, practices, patients, and so much more, with the process of recovery.  There are hundreds of ODs cut off from their means of income with immediate needs for their families and themselves.

The AOA Foundation will provide each optometrist who applies for aid a $2,000 grant for urgent needs like food, shelter, and energy.

Please make a contribution today.  Your donation is tax-deductible, and will help optometrists affected by this disaster with their recovery.
